That’s a wrap on year 10 🎉

Our half day was filled with an extra long morning meeting, sunglasses craft, year slideshow, last day of school read aloud + some end of the year digital activities ✨

This year’s wonderful group of 4th graders made for one of my favorite years of teaching yet! 🧡

But now I’m ready to bring on summer with lots of dog walks, porch coffee + a little bit of travel! ✈️

we had a teacher girl’s night out at the @childrenstheatrecompany watching ‘An American Tail’ and it was the cutest performance! It was so fun to see a student from our district & our music teachers’ brother as the lead. 🐭 Highly recommend attending with or without kids!

Other weekend things included:
- patio beers
- running errands
- dog snuggles
- neighborhood driveway hangs
- iced blonde vanilla latte

We always share the highlight of our weekends at our Monday morning meeting! 🧡 Let’s hear yours! What was your weekend highlight?

I wrote each student a note + let them choose an inspirational sticker to add to their water bottles 💦

They also wrote little notes of encouragement to each other in the morning. They are always so sweet ☺️

We only test two days and then students make up testing if they don’t finish. How many days do you take to do your state testing? It’s always interesting to see the differences! 👇🏻

Day in the life on a typical Thursday ✌🏼 Spilled my coffee twice today but got a whole bunch of happy mail soooo…I’ll call it a win! 🥰

I’ve noticed I have some kids who have been struggling to get outside their comfort zone with their self selected books. So we read one of my favorite read alouds today by @readwithmalcolm + are going to win in sharing book recommendations with eachother more with a simple Jamboard. I’ll let you know how it goes after a few weeks! 📚

But also, any adult book recommendations for me to read? I’m finishing up “It Starts With Us” and need a new book with a little more suspense! Let me know! 👇🏻

My students love to race each other to see who gets the most points and they strive to see their accuracy percentage increase each round that we play! The best part for teachers = a low prep + engaging way to engage learners in math and a way to collect data!
