Hey everyone! Thanks for joining my little corner of the internet!
I’m Shaunda, a teacher from Minnesota. After teaching for 7 years in 3rd, 4th & 5th grade, I am entering my eighth year with a bit of a younger crew. I am excited to expand my teaching experience this year into 2nd grade + continue to grow as an educator!
Teaching is something that I thoroughly enjoy. Have there been hard years? You bet! But honestly…I couldn’t imagine doing anything else. I pride myself in building a positive community of learners in my classroom and in providing an engaging learning environment for all of my students through engaging instructional strategies + authentic learning experiences.
While I do love teaching, I also really enjoy my free time. 🙂 When I’m not in the classroom you can find me outside enjoying the Minnesota weather (both snow AND sunshine). My husband and I love to travel, golf, ride bikes, take our pup Scout for a walk + enjoy a cocktail by the bonfire! I love to decorate + put together outfits….which tends to lend itself into a bit of a shopping problem. I love spending time with my family + friends, getting lost in reality TV, staying active, and sharing on my Instagram, blog + TPT store.
I started this blog as a way to “virtually scrapbook” all of the happenings in my classroom as well as to connect with other educators and share what I have created in my classroom. It has turned into so much more than I could have ever imagine and I am so thankful for everything it has brought into my life! I have truly made some of my best friends through this virtual teaching world and I wouldn’t want it any other way!
